With this series of 4 classes, fine tune your sewing skills while learning all the techniques you’ll need to accomplish your sewing goals!

This class is a great place to Start Sewing.  It's a beginning sewing class for people who have little or no sewing experience, and are looking to branch out and feel comfortable with basic sewing techniques. We start with learning some basic skills like threading machines, finishing edges, different stitches, buttonholes and zippers.  And since all those skills are nothing without a project we make a cute skirt too!


Beginning Sewing Series Supply List:

Kwik Sew Pattern 3637
You will need between 3 1/2 - 3 3/4 yards, depending on your size (don't worry, we'll help you decipher it all).
7" zipper
Please choose a cotton or linen fabric to ensure a successful project
Spool of thread

 
For all classes:
We are project oriented and we make sure you leave class with a finished project.
Classes take place at Selvedge.  (on the Hip Strip at 509 S Higgins Ave)
Stop by Selvedge before class to sign up and to get 15% off your supplies.
Don’t forget to wash your supplies according to the manufacturer’s instructions before class.
Our classes have a minimum and maximum number of students.  If not enough people sign up we will have to cancel the class.
Due to our small class sizes we cannot accommodate cancellations. We will be happy to reschedule you one time if you are sick.
